Relaxation Massage
Massage has profound effects on the health of the person being massage. It improves circulation, relaxes muscles, aids digestion and, by stimulating the lymphatic system, it speeds up the elimination of waste products.

Kinesio Taping
Barry Pumpa is an Kinesio Taping Instructor. The Kinesio Taping method has taken the Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine world by storm. Since development by Dr Kenzo nearly 20 years ago in Japan, Kinesio Taping has become the standard for therapeutic taping in the US. The method of taping uses a uniquely designed and patented tape for treatment of muscular disorders and lymphedema reduction.

Since the introduction of Kinesio Taping into the US, medical practitioners from PT's, ATC's, OT's, DC's, MT's to MD's have recognised and embraced this effective, safe, and easy-to-use modality. The method and tape allow the individual to wear and receive the therapeutic benefits on a 24-hour basis, and can be worn several days per application. At this time, Kinesio Taping is practiced in hospitals, clinics, universities, high schools, and by professional sports teams.

The Kinesio Taping method involves taping over and around muscles in order to either: assist and give muscle support, or to prevent over contraction of muscles. The first technique gives the practitioner opportunity to actually give support with full range of motion that enables the individual to participate in physical activity with functional assistance. The second helps fight against overuse/contraction and helps provide 24 hrs/day facilitation of lymphatic fluid. This technique is most commonly used in acute state of rehabilitation. Lastly, there are many types of correctional techniques such as: myofascial release, lymph, and tracking (eg. patella). Kinesio Tex Tape can also be used in conjunction with other therapies including cryotherapy, hydrotherapy and massage therapy.

Sports Massage
Sports massage holds many benefits for the athlete.

  1. Speeds recovery time during intense training.
  2. Aids in prevention of injuries.
  3. Assists in keeping a primary injury from becoming a secondary injury.
  4. Helps eliminate stress and tension.
  5. Helps the athlete maintain a consistent training schedule.
  6. Generally lengthens an athlete's career.

An athlete places tremendous stress on the tendons and ligaments, sometimes stretching them in excess and tearing muscle fibers. Fluid accumulates, creating soreness and stiffness. Sports massage techniques stimulates the circulation and loosen the fibers that have been bound together. This enhances lymph circulation lubricating the muscle, decreasing friction, and removing toxins and acids. Lung ventilation and circulation is improved, because sports massage helps periferal circulation. Proper sports massage can assist the body in aligning the torn myofibrils in a parallel fibrillary network, helping to create a soft, pliable scar tissue.

Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release is a whole-body, hands-on approach for the evaluation and treatment of the human structure. A smooth fascial sheath surrounds every muscle of the body. Every muscle fascicle is surrounded by fascia, and every microfibril down to the cellular level is surrounded by fascia. Therefor it is the fascia that ultimately determines the length and function of its muscular component.

Fascia is a tough connective tissue that spreads throughout the body in a three-dimensional web from head to foot functionally without interruption.

Therefore, malfunction of the system due to trauma, poor posture, scar tissue or inflammation can bind down these body components.

Deep Massage Therapy
Deep muscle therapy is not just another massage it is a specific massage. Tight muscle stops the oxygenated blood and the flow of lymph plasma is restricted to the muscle. This fluid is vital in lubricating the muscle and prevents from adhering to each other. By softening hardened muscle fibres and releasing the adhered muscle would restore the lymph flow between the muscle, and encourage the oxygenated blood back into the muscle.

Holistic Body Therapy
Holistic Body Therapy is a rapidly growing field of self-development. Holistic refers to the process of bring the physical body, mental beliefs and the emotions into harmony and balance with the Spiritual self.

Rebirthing
Rebirthing is a breathing technique designed to access historical traumas and release them from body-mind. In every body-mind trauma the respiratory and nervous system experience stress and possible shock. The muscular system will also experience a specific body-mind pattern. By using a natural and conscious deep breathing pattern these historical traumas can be accessed and released.

Bowen Therapy
Bowen Therapy is a series of gentle transverse movement are used to manipulate the connective tissue, thereby re-aligning the body and stimulating energy flow.

The subtle movements are affective in a wide range of muscle - skeletal problems and associated condition as well as being useful in the treatment of many organic disorders.

This system can be used safely on anyone from babies to the age. The treatment is gentle and painless, and in most cases just two or three treatments are all that is required.

Bowen therapy is excellent in treating the upper back, neck, arms, RSI (carpal tunnel), lower back, pelvis, ankle and effective in lymphatic drainage, such as hayfever, sinusitis, tonsillitis, eustachianary disorders and facial skin conditions.

Treatment of respiratory distress such as asthma, shortness of breath, thoracicalgia, and inflammation of the respiratory. There is treatment for many other aliments.
